By using wall-mounted chargers, the client was able to upgrade its EV infrastructure quickly and efficiently, saving both time and investment while still providing EV fast charging services. EV drivers can now conveniently recharge while shopping, making clean mobility more accessible without disrupting store operations.
DC Fast Charging VS AC Charging
AC charging stations typically have a power output between 7kW and 22kW, making them more suitable for extended parking periods, such as overnight or all-day parking.
DC fast charging, on the other hand, is designed for short-term parking and quick charging, making it more suitable for locations like shopping malls, supermarkets, and highway service stations, allowing drivers to charge quickly and efficiently while completing their daily activities.
30kW DC EV chargers can provide approximately 150-200 kilometers of range with one hour of charging. In practical use, even a 30-minute charging session can add around 15 kWh, enough for 75-100 kilometers of range.
In comparison, the 7kW and 20kW AC chargers provide approximately 35-50 kilometers and 100-150 kilometers of range in one hour, respectively.
