As EV adoption continues to grow across China, commercial EV charging operators need reliable EV charging infrastructure that can support high vehicle turnover, peak-hour demand, and long term profitable operation. In Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, SCU deployed a high power EV charging station specifically designed to support the used car market with intensive daily commercial operations.

The EV charging station is equipped with 8 units of 240kW split EV chargers and 10 pcss of 180kW DC fast chargers, providing strong charging capacity for passenger vehicles, fleet vehicles, and high frequency urban charging demand. Built for continuous operation, the station supports up to 300 EVs per day and has been operating stably for more than 3 years, demonstrating the reliability of SCU’s EV charging technology in a real commercial environment.

With dual-gun simultaneous charging, real time SOC and charging status monitoring, and multiple payment methods, the station offers drivers a faster and more convenient charging experience. At the same time, operators can improve charger utilization, shorten waiting time, increase daily service capacity, and optimize the overall efficiency of the EV charging station.

From an investment perspective, the project shows clear commercial value. Based on a practical operating model of 300 vehicles per day and an average charging volume of 40 kWh per vehicle, the station can deliver approximately 12,000 kWh of charging energy per day, or about 4.38 million kWh per year. If calculated with an estimated charging service margin of approximately USD 0.074 per kWh, the annual gross service income potential can reach around USD 324,000. Depending on actual electricity cost, land cost, grid connection cost, equipment investment, and local operating conditions, the project can generally achieve a competitive payback cycle for commercial charging operators.

Beyond revenue, the project also improves customer experience and station efficiency. Stable high power EV charging helps reduce queuing during peak hours, supports faster vehicle turnover, and allows the charging station to serve more users within the same operating space.

Backed by proven long term operation, high power charging capability, and flexible configuration, this project demonstrates SCU’s ability to deliver reliable, scalable, and investment ready EV charging infrastructure for commercial charging operators in global markets.
