As the electrification of urban transportation accelerates, public transportation systems have put forward higher requirements for efficient and reliable charging infrastructure. SCU recently delivered multiple 480kW high-power EV charging solutions for a local electric bus charging station in Shijiazhuang, China, to meet the charging needs of high-frequency and long-term buses and promote the development of green transportation.

Background
This project is deployed at a bus hub in Shijiazhuang and is an important part of the green transformation of local public transportation. The 480kW EV charging stack provided by SCU adopts SCU’s new generation appearance design, with a stylish appearance, compact structure, and both functionality and aesthetics. It is suitable for a variety of complex environments, such as large and medium-sized transportation stations.
Solution highlights
- High power output to meet intensive operation needs: Each charging stack has a maximum output power of 480kW, which can support efficient and fast charging of multiple buses at the same time, alleviating the centralized charging pressure during peak hours in the morning and evening.
- Multiple terminals, flexible configuration: Each stack is equipped with 4 terminals, and each terminal is equipped with dual guns, which support flexible power allocation and improve equipment efficiency.

- Intelligent dispatching to improve operational efficiency: The system supports intelligent power distribution and dispatching, and can adjust the output in real time according to the vehicle charging status, maximize the use of equipment resources, and reduce no-load waste.
- Safe, reliable, and stable operation: The SCU charging system integrates multiple electrical protection mechanisms and a remote monitoring platform to ensure safe operation in all weather and all scenarios.
