On February 6, SCU marked a milestone day with a major event: the Zero-Carbon Smart Factory Opening Ceremony held in the Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. Together, the event reflected SCU’s strategic progress and its shared vision for the future.
Advancing Zero-Carbon and Intelligent Manufacturing
Senior executives of SCU, together with domestic and international partners, jointly participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Zero- Smart Factory.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman and General Manager Mr. Chen emphasized:
“This zero-carbon smart factory is the cornerstone of our green ecosystem vision. It is not merely a production base, but a tangible platform through which we advance energy ecosystem reform and deliver on our sustainability commitments.”
The zero-carbon smart factory integrates a 3MWp photovoltaic system, 3MW PCS, 6MWh energy storage capacity, and an advanced energy and carbon management platform, forming a fully coordinated zero-carbon power system. It generates an average of 10,000 kWh of green electricity per day—approximately 3.6 million kWh annually. Over a 10-year lifecycle, the average electricity cost can be as low as RMB 0.27 per kWh, reducing nearly 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions while significantly lowering operating costs and achieving true zero-emission operations.
Equipped with newly deployed automated production lines, the facility has significantly increased its manufacturing capacity, strengthening delivery capability and operational efficiency. EV chargers are designed to support our daily commuting needs. Equipped with solar panels, these charging stations reflect the SCU’s approach to clean energy use and contribute to green energy ecosystem.
Celebrating Progress, Defining the Future
The evening gala brought together customers and partners from both domestic and international markets, along with all SCU staff to reflect on the past year’s achievements and outline strategic priorities for the future.
In his keynote address, “Collaborating on Digital Energy, Building a Green Ecosystem, and Shaping a Sustainable Future,” Mr. Chen outlined SCU’s renewed strategic positioning: to become a leader in digitalized new energy generation, energy storage and EV charging. The strategy underscores a deeper integration of green energy and digital technologies, reinforcing the company’s role in the accelerating global energy transition.
Mr. Chen said, “In 2026, SCU will adopt a new cooperation model: SCU will provide a comprehensive partnership framework, including core equipment, technical documentation and engineering support, an integrated operations management platform, financial solutions, and shared market resources, to ensure efficient project delivery and long-term operational success.”
A highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony recognizing outstanding teams and individuals for their contributions over the past year. Honorees were celebrated for excellence in areas including technical innovation, project execution, market expansion, and operational support. Their dedication and professionalism represent the collective strength driving SCU’s continued growth and embody the company’s people focused culture.
The festivities continued with staff performances that brought the audience to another high point. Staff members from various departments presented self-produced programs featuring singing, dancing, comedy sketches, and recitations.
