Commercial EV Charging Station for Laos EV Charging Station Operator

Commercial EV Charging Station for Laos EV Charging Station Operator

As Southeast Asian countries continue to accelerate the upgrading of their energy structure driven by the “dual carbon” strategy and regional green transformation, Laos, as a country rich in hydropower resources and a foreign transportation hub, is actively building a system of supporting facilities for new energy vehicles and electric transportation. The country is promoting the construction of a charging network covering urban main roads, commercial centers and cross-border channels through policy guidance, electricity price incentives and corporate participation, helping electric vehicles to replace traditional fuel vehicles.

With the trend of accelerated development of electric transportation, SCU provided 40 commercial EV charging stations for a charging station operator in Laos, including 120kW DC EV chargers and 240kW split DC EV charger, covering its multiple key charging sites. SCU EV chargers fully support CCS2 and GB/T dual standard interfaces, and are compatible with the Central and European electric models widely used in the Southeast Asian market, significantly improving the adaptability of terminal equipment and the service capabilities of operating scenarios, helping customers build an efficient and open charging network.

dual gun dc EV charger for laos EV CSO

High-power EV DC charging solution

The 120kW dual-gun DC EV charger supports a maximum output power of 120kW per gun, and has an intelligent power distribution function. It can dynamically allocate power resources according to vehicle needs when charging two guns at the same time, achieving efficient charging and system load balancing.

The 240kW split DC EV charger is equipped with 4 independent charging terminals per unit, supports a maximum charging current of 250A, has multi-terminal concurrent output capabilities, and is suitable for fast charging scenarios of multiple models to meet heavy-load traffic and peak operation needs.

The operator’s own backend system can be seamlessly connected to the EV charger through OCPP to achieve full life cycle operation and maintenance management such as intelligent scheduling, status monitoring, energy consumption analysis and remote maintenance.

Technical highlights and system advantages

  • Multi-protocol compatibility, serving a wide range of vehicle ecosystems

Compatible with CCS2 and GB/T standards, covering local, imported and cross-border electric vehicle operation scenarios, and meeting the charging needs of multi-brand car owners in Laos and neighboring countries (such as Thailand, Vietnam, and China).

  • High power output to meet the needs of fast charging scenarios

A single device supports a maximum output of 240kW, has dynamic power allocation capabilities, can support multiple guns charging at the same time, greatly shorten the charging time, and improve the site turnover rate.

  • Low standby power consumption

The EV charger has the characteristics of low standby power consumption and automatically shuts down the EV charger power module when not charging, effectively reducing energy consumption and improving overall operating efficiency.

  • Intelligent docking with local backend to improve operational efficiency

Supporting OCPP 1.6/2.0 standards, the device can flexibly access the operator’s existing platform to achieve remote control, status monitoring and software updates, and build a unified dispatching system.

  • Tropical climate adaptability design

The whole machine adopts industrial-grade thermal design and anti-corrosion and heat-resistant materials to meet the requirements of 24/7 hours stable operation under extreme climate conditions such as high temperature and high humidity in Laos.
