In Pakistan, with the continuous growth in the number of electric vehicles, the demand for efficient, energy-saving, and economical charging infrastructure is increasingly prominent. However, high local grid electricity prices put significant pressure on the operating costs of EV charging stations. To build a more competitive EV charging system, the client chose to partner with SCU to create a low-cost, sustainable, and green EV charging scenario through a “Solar carport + DC EV charging” approach.

Solar Direct Power Supply EV Chargers: Reducing Grid Dependence and Lowering Operating Costs
SCU provided the client with multiple 150kW CCS2 DC fast EV chargers, deeply integrated with the on-site solar carport system to achieve a direct clean energy supply:
- Solar Carport Power Generation: Directly powers the 150kW DC EV chargers.
- When solar power is insufficient: Automatically switches to grid power for supplemental supply.
This model allows the client to maximize the use of green energy and significantly reduce the high costs associated with grid electricity.

Solution Advantages
1. Significantly Reduced Charging Costs
Direct solar power supply significantly reduces grid electricity consumption, resulting in a substantial decrease in operating costs.
2. Green and Low-Carbon Energy Utilization
Solar carports provide clean energy for EV chargers, contributing to local renewable energy utilization and carbon reduction goals.
3. Faster and More Efficient Charging Experience
The SCU 150kW fast EV charging station is compatible with mainstream EV models, providing high power output and significantly reducing charging time.
4. Stable Power Supply Guarantee
The customer has configured dedicated step-down transformers for the EV charging stations to ensure stable equipment operation and provide effective protection against local grid instability.

Green Charging Infrastructure with Expansion Potential
As user acceptance of green energy models continues to grow, the customer plans to expand the charging scale in the future: Purchase multiple high-power DC charging stations and introduce SCU commercial and industrial energy storage system in conjunction with photovoltaic systems.
- Energy storage can store electricity during periods of surplus photovoltaic power and discharge it at night or during peak hours.
- Further reduce electricity costs and improve energy utilization efficiency.
This combination will create a more economical, sustainable, and energy-independent smart charging center, providing a strong impetus for the development of local electric transportation.
SCU: A Global Provider of Green Charging and Energy Storage Solutions
